What are the standards for testing biosafety cabinets?

The current main standards for biosafety cabinet testing are:

(1) EU EN 12469:2000 《Biotechnology-Peformance Criteria for Microbiological Safety Cabinets》

(2) NSF/ANSI 49-2002 《Class II(Laminar Flow) Biosafety Cabinetry》

(3) JG 170-2005 Construction industry standard of the People's Republic of China 《Biosafety Cabinet》

(4) YY 0569-2011 People's Republic of China pharmaceutical industry standard 《II level Biosafety cabinet》

In view of the dangerous use environment of the biosafety cabinet, at the time of installation and at intervals thereafter, the overall operating performance of each biosafety cabinet shall be tested by a third-party inspection and testing institution with CMA testing qualifications and capabilities in accordance with regulations to check whether it meets national and international performance standards to ensure the safety of users.
